Bronze

I love the emotional intensity of “Bronze.” She was made in a series with other pieces that share the green of tarnished bronze metal, feverish orange, and quiet terracotta red. She reminds me of formidable statues, like “Winged Victory,” in that she holds her head high with a defiant dignity in spite of the restrictions you see enforced on her. She is blindfolded, but her expression implies that she sees through it to the reality of the world beyond.

5 x 7 in, cold press paper. Each print is signed and dated before being individually wrapped in a protective plastic sleeve with a foam board backing.
