Hair 2

Do you remember being very little, and not knowing the feeling of shame for your naked body? In fact, there was probably a curious playfulness that had nothing to do with sexuality. This piece represents that innocence – it’s a celebration of having a human body, if only for the fact that it’s your human body to live in. Similar to her sister, “Hair 1,” this piece was created quickly and without much thought. I started with the shape of her hair first, simply because it was a shape I liked, and afterwards I attached a human body to it. At the time, I had a black marker that was beginning to dry out, and it made for a very innovative way to add hair on to the body. She is naked, but she is not ashamed to be – and I hope you won’t be ashamed to include her in your home.

5x7 or 8x10 in, cold press paper. Each print is signed and dated before being individually wrapped in a protective plastic sleeve with a foam board backing.
