Le Mitz

Here she is – the namesake art of the brand.

I was inspired by the makeup of Lisa Eldridge. Lisa is a famous makeup artist who runs a business under her own name, with a focus on fresh faces, bold lips, and luminescent eyeshadows. When I made Le Mitz, I was thinking of these features, and how a limited color palette could still deliver a memorable and iconic visage. At the same time, there is so much negative space in the image that somehow still feels structured. You can easily picture a nose, cheeks, even the point where her chin would end. Formless, yet so clearly emplaced.

5 x 7 in, cold press paper. Each print is signed and dated before being individually wrapped in a protective plastic sleeve with a foam board backing.
